Valentines Day Eve

Here is a quick photo of what I'm wearing for Valentines Day Eve. I picked this because this is what I will be wearing with shorts for my date tonight with my wife. A night of sushi and bowling, can't wate.

They are red tights with black pantyhose over them. I love the cool look it gives having the black hose over the tights.

Birthday Party

While I was at a cousins birthday party this last Friday evening, I decided to wear blue denim shorts with gray tights that I got from Target almost 2 years ago. One thing that I didn't think about was that other family (family to my cousins) would be there. So during the evening, someone who I haven't seen much asked me "So why the stockings?" My first response in my head was "These are tights, not stockings", but I knew what she meant. The first thing that I thought of was to shrug my shoulders and act like it was nothing, so I did that. So she replied to that with "Is it because they are comfortable?" and I said that they where. She agreed that they where but that she gets worm wearing them. Then I tried to point out that today was a good day for them seeing that it was cool and a rainy day. She agreed and that was the end of it. This would be probably my second time being asked why I was wearing tights, and both where from family (or near family). For the most part, people will not see it or if they do, not do anything about it. Even with all the reviews people give when they find out that men are wearing tights or pantyhose openly, how weird it is and that they will rip them off anyone that wears them, or something like that. They really don't mean it in real life, they can say that on a posting because that may be what they feel at the time, but in real life, they will just go on their own life and not bother you because you chose to wear hosiery openly.

Smooth Legs

Most of this summer I have been wearing shorts to work. But every time I have worn my L'eggs Sheer Energy pantyhose in tan. I would have to say it's been fun and nice to go to work in shorts, I do enjoy it. There was one Friday, I was in my coworkers office chatting with the owners son (who does work here for the company) and my coworker and near the end of the conversation, he noticed that I had smooth legs. Then he went on saying that he too shaved his legs. While yes I do shave my legs, that was not the reason why my legs looked so smooth. I didn't say anything about why they where smooth, but it would have been a great time to do so. So that has been about the only time at work that someone has commented on my open wearing of hose at the office with shorts. This just go's to prove that people don't notice men wearing sheer hosiery that often. So if you are feeling shy about wearing hose openly, try this, wear sheer hosiery. I first started out wearing nude pantyhose that wasn't very shiny, but then I moved to L'eggs Sheer Energy and they provide a little luster to the legs while supporting them for long work hours in the office, or while out and about. And probably about 99% of the time, you will not stick out if you act like wearing hosiery is an everyday thing. And also have fun wearing hosiery openly, I do.

Mother-in-law Noticed

A couple weekends ago I went to the air port to pick up my mother-in-law and sister-in-law. My sister-in-law was coming up to start collage at BYU-Idaho, and they where spending a week and a half here before heading up to Rexburg, ID. That day I was wearing a white collarless polo that I got from working at Liberty Tax, green shorts, and L'eggs Sheer Energy tan pantyhose. So when we where walking to the baggage pickup for where my sister-in-law was, I walked ahead of my wife and mother-in-law to be with my daughter at the end of the moving side walk. While I was in front of them, my mother-in-law asked my wife if I was wearing hose, and she replied I was. So she asked why? My wife responded because I like to wear them. They had a good laugh, and when I could ask them what they where laughing about, my mother-in-law responded with how much better my legs look than hers. I smiled because I knew she had noticed and didn't take long for her to notice. My sister-in-law took a few days to notice, but she let me know by asking out loud if I was wearing, so my wife and I explained to her why. So that didn't go so bad for the first time exposing that bit about me to my mother-in-law and sister-in-law. I just went for it and didn't care what they had to say, because this is me, and I wanted to let them know in my own way. When my parents came and visited me earlier in the summer, they didn't say anything to me or my wife, so I don't know if they noticed or not, but they didn't say anything.

Follow-up on going through my pantyhose

It took around 2 and a half weeks to go through all my pantyhose, partly because it got cold and so I had to go to tights for a while. But I got through them and found to have 4 pairs that where still good, three that I wanted to still keep, and all the others where bad. Now a lot of my collection was from over time and never really worn out in the public. So by going through them when it was still cool outside, I could wearer them under jeans and if the where a bad pair, then I was ok with still wearing them one last time. Now I'm down to two pairs from where I started, and I'm now able to try new products. My latest purchase was Sheer Energy by L'eggs in tan. But one thing I didn't look to closely at was the size, instead of Qnueen size, I got Queen Plus. These are a little big on me, but I can see why people like them, they are thick and provides great support, especially after playing soccer when my body isn't use to that much exercise. I could feel the soreness return to my legs right after I took them off. Great leg support.

Pantyhose Cleanup

I'm starting a new thing as of yesterday to help weed out what pantyhose I have are good and what I need to set aside. I am going to wear all of my pantyhose one per day, that I have in my drawer and deciding what is good and what isn't as far as the condition of the pantyhose are. This is something that you can do to if your like me and have been wearing tights all fall and winter long. Basically what I'm doing is that I'm going to wear one pair of pantyhose each day under slacks/jeans while it's still cool outside for shorts and pantyhose. This way I can see how they feel, if their are any run's, ladders, or wholes in them. Then if they are not good or uncomfortable, then I am going to stick them into a bag (I'm using a plastic grocery bag), so that way in the end I can see what I have that is good for this spring/summer season and what I might need to get. I'll figure out what to do with what is in the bag later.
